Suppose All We Lived For Has Been a Lie

Main Entry: Real
Pronunciation: 'rE(-&)l, 'ri(-&)l
1 : of or relating to fixed, permanent, or immovable things (as lands or tenements)
2 : not artificial, fraudulent, illusory, or apparent

Have you ever wondered how "Real" our world is? "Real" is such an ambiguous word these days. The truth is so many words these days have lost the essential definitions. People manipulate and distort them. In the end, it makes life more complex. We have to choose our words carefully. Everything DEPENDS on the situation, person etc etc. But I digress; that is not the topic I have in mind today.
Ever watched the movie "The Truman Show"? Ah yes.. I can sense that you are beginning to see the direction I am heading towards. How much of our world is real, and how much of it is just a farce? Just a figment of our imagination?
Now let's get into something more.. how should I put it?.. Sci-fi maybe.
Imagine that this world we have lived the entire span of our lives on, is in fact a world created by someone, or something, for their own observations and experimentation. There is so much nonsense in this train of thought. But then again, there are so many things that are beyond our comprehension. Could it be that what people claim are centuries and centuries of archaeological remnants happen to be, in fact, planted by the creators of our world? Centuries and centuries of scrolls, historical documentations, all constructed to make us believe that our world is "real"?
Previous recollections from the deceased? All fabrications of a world they have come to believe, exists.
For all we know, we have been the center of observation for the past centuries. Dinosaurs and prehistoric times were all fabrications from the people who created our world; passed on by word-of-mouth, and through the media. So powerful are these means communication that we cannot underestimate their ability to change our world by such large proportions. All you need is one well-respected fellow who wields enough power to sway the people's opinions. Evidence is just secondary to it all (though still important). Such evidence whether fact or fiction, we would never question, as we do not feel that we have the ingenuity that these people do. Maybe it's just human nature. The idea of not biting off more that we can chew.
Travels to outerspace and the moon? Isn't the controversy regarding these subjects already enough to tell you that there is a high possibility no one has ever left the protective circle of our atmosphere? For those who are not sure about this controversy, look it up on the net. I think you would be greatly surprised at the ambiguity of it all. Even I knew of no such thing, until I came across a documentary claiming that the alleged moon trips were all filmed on Earth's solid ground.
Our world is advancing so fast that it is hard to keep up. But could it be that somewhere out there technology has already gone way beyond anything we have ever seen or thought of before? We do not have the means to find out, even if we wanted to. If we cannot even trust NASA to provide us with the truth, who then can we turn to? Maybe if the Truman Show Theory is as close to the truth as it can get, then we may never find out. We would be locked up in this Imaginary World for the rest of our lives. Probably until the ones who created us decide that we have advanced far enough to be just a stone's throw away from the truth. And if all these suppositions were true, that day will be the day that all of us would cease to exist.
It is just a thought anyway. Would make an interesting movie perhaps? *Hah*
