Oh, your peppermint mocha is back this year. I hope you're enjoying it... And I really like the new haircut, by the way. Just thought I'd mention, though you probably wouldn't be reading this. Ah well...

- Books:
- Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

Admittedly, I did watch the show before I got to the book. And yes, it was the Keira Knightley version. Although, I promise you, I did get the Colin Firth version and will watch it! But I digress. Honestly, a movie will never do justice to a book. The details and dialogue are absolutely beautiful and you can't help but fall madly in love with Mr Darcy. If only he really did exist... ... Aye, just me and my wishful thinking.
- Wicked - Jill Barnett
-
- To be honest, Jill Barnett's books are not nearly as popular or good as Garwood or McNaught. However, I think this one book quite meets the bar set by the two other authors mentioned. Its mixture of wit, humour and emotions kept me riveted the whole time! A series of three books. Do keep a look out for Wonderful and Wild too!

- Songs / Music CD:
- House is not a Home - Luther Vandross
- Following the success of her movie debut in Dreamgirls, Jennifer Hudson has indeed made herself noticed. I remember her as one of my top favourites on American Idol; and surely that voice of hers does not disappoint. Well, true to form, it's the American Idol participants who don't win, that come up with good albums. I can't say that all her songs are good, but for sure there are a couple of songs in there that showcase her voice fantastically. You have definitely got to listen to I'm His Only Woman. Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia; can it get any better than that!?
- With Christmas around the corner, you can't help but want to have Christmas tunes playing in your jukebox. And yet, the standard old Christmas songs can indeed get a wee bit boring. Try this album out and I guess you'll feel a whole different side of Christmas.

- I caught the German film festival this year and boy am I glad we picked this film to watch! Well, yes it is the typical romantic comedy portraying two people who are complete opposites starting of hating each other, but end up falling in love. Setting this plot aside, the acting itself is really quite funny and will melt your heart. Oh, do keep a look out for Til Schweiger's little daughter who plays the character, Cheyenne-Blue; she is absolutely adorable, I tell ya!! I'll definitely be getting the DVD!
- The L Word

- A couple of friends introduced this series to me. I was sceptical at first, thinking it to be some lame show that'll leave a bad after-taste. Oh how wrong I was. It's definitely a bitchy enough show, with tons of sex and loads of laugther. And yet very tastefully done. Let's just say it's got me hooked all the way to the 5th season. Can't wait for the 6th and final season to be aired. I wonder how it'll all end!?
